The latest one, Dark Arisen, landed on Steam earlier this year and now has reached its highest concurrent player peak in six years thanks to a recent summer sale on the Steam store.



PS4 and Xbox One Owners Have All the Fun

Capcom has always been a stalwart supporter of PC gaming, but it looks like all those hours playing Dragon’s Dogma have finally paid off. According to a report from Games Industry, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen has seen its concurrent player count peak at over 1 million for all three platforms – PS4, Xbox One, and PC. That's about 800% more concurrent players than what it achieved when it was first released in 2012.


Capcom's Action-RPG Achieves Highest Peak for a Non-Valve Game Since 2011

Capcom has reported that their action-RPG Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen has set a new concurrent player record for non-Valve games on Steam, hitting a peak of 77,413 players on April 26. The previous record was set by Capcom's horror title Resident Evil 7: Biohazard with 70,669 concurrent players.


PC Gaming Continues to Grow

According to a recent report from Steam Spy, nearly half of all PC gamers are using Windows 10. This is good news for developers and publishers, as nearly 70% of those users say they play games at least once a week. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds hit an all-time high concurrent player peak on Steam, reaching an impressive number of more than 400,000 simultaneous players. But despite its success, PlayerUnknown’s Battleground lags behind three other games in terms of the concurrent player peak. However, one of those games is Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen released in 2013 by Capcom and published by Microsoft—which has seen its highest concurrent player peak in six years with 68,000 simultaneous players.
